A MESSAGE FOR YOUR ANIMAL FRIENDS IN SPIRIT.

This past month I have been working with many animals who have transitioned into the greater dimensions of life. I have been inspired to make my June in-the-moment message for those of you who have animal companions across the rainbow bridge.

The deep bonds forged when you share your life with an animal companion. The love you share does not disappear when your animal companion passes, it actually acts as a link forever connecting your Souls. I like to visualize this connecting as a bright, shinning, silver chord with a sparkling white aura connecting your two hearts. When you have a memory of your pet, or connect with him/her in a dream, mediation, or animal communication session that silver thread activates and in my minds eye it lights up Soul to Soul, making your connection almost tangible. In fact many clients describe feeling their deceased companions presence, smelling them, even catching a glimpse of him/her out of the corner of their eye.
I have found their is no limit to the lengths your animal friends in spirit will go to in helping you to be aware of their on going love for you. While everyones level of awareness around this messages is different, I can assure you the message of love form the other-side are flowing to you. This is the one consistency in all of my animals in spirit sessions. Messages of love that is unconditional and eternal, as well as confirmations of signs that those left behind have witnessed.
Your in-the-moment message for June is this; acknowledge out-loud the presence of your beloved animal fiends in spirit when you feel there presence near. Do this no matter how the presence makes it self known to you. Trust your intuition, you know what's up! Honor the moments you are; flooded with memories, catch a glimpse of him or her in his/her favorite spot, trip over a favorite toy, smell the wet dog smell, or that amazing, indescribable, so good smell when you burry your nose in the neck of a horse, when you wake up from a dream and you are aware that s/he was with you, when that penny, bird, or butterfly that keeps popping into your field of awareness. It's all divine, it's all love, it's all for you. Say (insert name here) thank you. I see you, I feel you, I love you too.

A MESSAGE FOR PETS WHO NEED TO TAKE MEDICATION/SUPPLIMETNS

Last month I worked with a few animal companions who were not feeling 100% and needed to take medication. Some animal companions don't mind taking medication if you are hiding it in something exciting like cheese, or hotdogs. There are some animal companions who will find a way to spit their meds back out no matter how stealth you think you are.  This months in-the-moment-messge is for anyone who needs their animal companion to be good about eating, drinking, or taking medication.

When I send a message to an animal who is not waiting to take an important medication or supplement I start always with the acknowledgment of their experience. For those of you who have read my book Beyond Companionship (link above) know that acknowledgment of the animals experience  creates a shift in energy, an opening that making your animal more receptive to whatever message or training technique that follows. I acknowledge the dislike first.

Next I explain what and/or why s/he has to take the medication focusing on the animals guardians motivation, i.e, supporting optimum health and well-being. I also let the animal know how important s/he is the guardian/family. I then add something like this, "So and so is committed to helping you feel your best and anything you can do to help so and so with that would be appreciated." At this point I may get specific with the animal about the action need such as drinking more water if there is dehydration, or say, "We need you to be calmer about taking your pill, or please eat all your food there is <insert med> in there to help you feel better."

This months message is short and simple but very effective as all messages should be!

Recap: Acknowledge the animals experience, give a short explanation about what and/or why, tell your animal companion what action you need from them.

*BONUS*
For anyone having a rough time sticking a big pill down your animals throat, here is my super secret trick I used with Griffin. Roll the pill in butter before you try. It will be super slick to slide down and super tasty too!

MAKING YOUR PET FEEL AT HOME

Opening your heart to a new animal friend is exciting and stressful for both you and your new companion. This months in the moment message is a simple one. But the positive impact of this message on your new friend will be noticeably felt.

Last month our in-the-moment message was targeted for animal companions who are moving. The techniques shared are ones I uses in sessions with profound success and if you CLICK HERE you can check it out.

For our April in-the-moment message we are going one step further and adding a short, simple message to support rescued or re-homed animals when welcoming them into a new home or more specifically their forever home.

Your April message:  This is a place where you are welcomed and loved. I/we invite you to get comfortable with the surroundings because this is your forever home.

This message is the perfect add-on to last months message work for animals who are moving  to welcome a rescued or re-homed animal into your home. Sometimes the most simple clear message like, this is your forever home, spoken out loud with heart is exactly what is needed to be heard for an animal friend to open up their heart and begin to trust again. This months message will ease anxiety, tensions, make your intentions clear and give you a strong foundation for trust to build on.

Side Note: This ones for you Faith (You know who you are goddess of rescue.) and anyone who fosters/rescues in a situation where your home is not the last stop for your furry, feathered or scaly friend. You can send a similar message of intention letting the animal in your care know they are in a safe home where they are welcomed and loved and you are going to care for them and learn all you can about about them so that you can help him/her find them a forever family. It's also kind to let them know via in-the-moment verb an message how the search is going. Example; A family is coming to visit with you today. I'm taking to meet a new friend today. I heard you will going to your new home in a week (then give reminder updates)

*bonus*
This should almost be its own column. It is a message I use in session frequently i.e. almost every session I'm focusing on trust building. Bonus Animal Communication In-The-Momnt Message: You are safe here. I take my role as your caretaker very seriously. I would never put you in a situation that would purposely hurt or harm you.

BEGIN THE CONVERSATION

Last year with my monthly newsletter column we talked connection and communication, you can see this information in previous posts titled Animal Communication Quick Tips. This years monthly column I'm making verbal communication or in-the-moment message sending the focus of the column. You can lean more about in-the-moment message sending in my book Beyond Companionship: Connecting with the Kindred Souls of Animal Companions.  These next 12 posts will be based on the Pause and Connect point found on page 37.

BEGIN THE CONVERSATION

I have always said we do not give our animals enough credit for what they are able to understand and comprehend. When we we send a clear, focused message out loud (because out loud is much more affirming when we are beginners at communicating) the intention, energy, and meaning of the message is fully relieved by our animal companions.
If you work with me you know I believe animals have connection and communication preference and we should readily use those preferred ways to connect. However, animals can learn via all connection and communication avenues and making verbal communication i.e. in-the moment message sending a connection point in your relationships with animals you will have an animal who begins to not only better understand you but who will look to you as a source of information.

Messages can be as simple as I love you, or as complex as when under saddle you say to your horse when I nudge you here with my foot I need you to a.b.c....The trick to in-the-moment message sending is to do it. Because the more you give your horse information you are peeling the onion going deeper and deeper into connection, trust.

This month your in-the-moment message home work is to simply begin the conversation. Start talking out loud to your animal companion giving him or her tid-bits of information here and there and she how he/she responds. In a short time your animal companion will begin to look to you for these messages and you can starting using the technique productively.

Throughout the next 12 months I will be writing one speciific messages every month to help you enhance your relationship and verbal communication with your animal friends.

ANIMALCONNECTION AND COMMUNICATION QUICK TIP

If you and your animals work with me, especially performance animals I'm sure you have heard me talk about using acknowledgment as an instant energy shifter.
I started making acknowledgment of an animals experience an important part of the conversations in all my sessions a few years back. It was after a very interesting conversation with a barrel racing horse and trainer. The two had been in a warm up pen and the horse was giving some clear signs saying I'm done and the trainer was not having that sass and pushed on. Many of us have been there. The horse hit the brake point, had a melt down, and thankfully no one was hurt. When I came in to chat with the horse about what was up her biggest issue was that she was very uncomfortable in the situation and felt the rider wasn't acknowledging that. #lightbulb

As I started to begin all my conversations with an acknowledgment of where the animals were coming from I would feel immediate shifts in the energy of the animal. This shift was positive, opening, and made him/her more receptive to any information or positive training technique that followed.
So how does this help you?

Think of acknowledgment as and in-the-moment tool you canuse to shift the energy of the experience you are having with your animal companion. If your companion is losing focus in a training session, paying too much attention to other animals, etc. You can stop address whats up and say. " I see your attentions is focused over there, but I need you for x amount of min." "I see that is upsetting you making you anxious, (more to come about fear and anxiousness next month) I need you to know we are ok and tell him or her where to put her focus. don't make this more complicated than it needs to be, just a simple acknowledgement of what you see happening from the animals perspective.

In Memory Of Griffin

I AM WHO I AM BECAUSE I KNEW YOU

Excerpt from my book Beyond Companionship: Connecting with Kindred Souls of Animal Companions, in memory of my beloved companion Griffin.

Waking Up: My First Soul Connection

I open my eyes slowly because the sunlight is invading my bedroom and I am aware that it is the weekend and I have slept in. I am also aware that the head of my three-year-old German Shepherd, Griffin, is resting on the bed and he is intently staring at me. I close my eyes and snuggle into my purple shabby chic comforter, wondering what he wants. My mind rests on the most obvious answer--Griffin needs to go outside.

I groan to myself at the thought of leaving my present comfort, and it is at that moment that I notice one very distinct sound missing--his whine. German Shepherds have a unique whine that any owner can attest to. The whine is so high pitched that there are moments I am sure Griffin is making noise, but the sound is beyond my range of hearing. The high pitch sounds made by Griffin that are within my hearing range can awake me from dead sleep. Griffin employs the German Shepherd whine often when he needs to go outside.

I turn my head back to Griffin, meeting his unusually quiet attentive stare and a question pops into my head, Why don’t we go to shows on the weekend anymore?

My logical mind protests this random and unexpected intrusion by not answering the question,  Immediately another question presents itself: Why did we move here?

Ok, I think. I am now intrigued as Griffin’s chin is still resting on the side of my bed and he has not taken his eyes off me. These are not questions I would ask myself, and all this while I am wondering, Am I dreaming right now?  I start to clearly think the answers to these questions that were presented in my mind and a dialogue begins. I then, in my mind, ask, Griffin, are you asking me these questions?

He replies, Yes.
***

I have a dear friend and mentor, Paris Drake, a world-renowned psychic who has an office not far from where I grew up in Wisconsin. When Griffin connected with me and asked these questions, I wasn’t shocked. Because of my relationship with Paris, I was very open to the fact that connecting with other souls-- even animal souls--is possible.
If I could have invited you into my head to witness my first time communicating with an animal, my exchange with Griffin would have sounded like an inner monologue. Even today when an animal sends me a verbal message during a session, in my mind it is a similar feeling to what you feel when you are talking to yourself. I have learned that being aware of what I am thinking and feeling in every moment allows me to be acutely aware when I experience thoughts and feelings outside of my own. This is because our thoughts and feelings are sent out into the surrounding world through energy.
At the core of each of our beings, person or animal, there is an energy, a vibration, a unique expression that radiates out into the world. These individual energetic frequencies converge in an ocean of energy which results in a sea of oneness where we all are interconnected.  The more I reached into this sea of oneness, connecting to the energies and souls around me, the more I began to resonate with the undeniable connectivity existing just beneath the surface of everything we see. It is this very oneness which allows me to peer into the eyes of a client's beloved animal companion and glimpse into their life experience.
If you would have told me at the moment Griffin first connected with me in this way that talking with animals would become my passion and life's work, I would not have believed you,  but the truth is something awoke deep within me that sunny spring morning in 2006, and over the course of the next year, I incessantly read books on animal communication and chatted with every animal that crossed my path.

People oftentimes ask me how I came to be an Intuitive Animal Communicator, inquiring if I have spent my whole life chatting with the animals, questioning who I studied with, and how many years of lessons I took. In truth, none of these paved the way to my present career.  I started with a gift and an insatiable need to share it. The rest of my pilgrimage from Amy Miller to Amy Miller, Intuitive Animal Communicator unfolded over time in the serendipitous way that occurs when you allow yourself to stand in the truth of who you are.

ANIMAL COMMUNICATION CHANGES LIVES

No matter what your reason for contacting an Intuitive Animal Communicator the out come for you and your animal companion is life changing. Here is a clients testimony highlighting the profound change she experienced with her dog Shaneeq (pictured) after just one intuitive communication session with me.

I had a session with Amy b/c  I could tell that my dog, Shaneeq, was unhappy.  We've had some big changes to our pack dynamics with the loss of 3 elderly dogs in 4 years and recently, 3 new fosters.

Shaneeq was withdrawn and was staying in the corner of the bedroom most of the time.  After my call with Amy, she is a new dog!  She is no longer staying in the corner of the bedroom.  She follows me everywhere, hangs out with the other dogs and even gives them kisses!  Now on our alone-time she and I play and play and play.  She is 10 years old but she has been doing that scoot/run with her butt tucked under her when we play.

Where there is a soul there is a journey and a purpose.

I believe that we are souls who chose to come to this time and space to have a human experience. I also believe our animal companions are souls who chose to come to this time and space to have an experience.  If you have read my first book Beyond Companionship: Connecting with Kindred Souls of Animal Companions you will know that I also believe where there is a soul there is a journey and a purpose.

As an intuitive animal communicator I see the life purpose of animal companions manifest in a multitude of ways.  I have met a horse here to help his person perfect a new training technique that will change how other riders train their companions. I have observed human hearts in need of healing find that healing within the unconditional love of an animal companion.  I uncover new and profound purpose in the presence of animal companions with every intuitive session I do.

Here is an example of purpose taken from my book Beyond Companionship. Archie’s owner was looking to connect with him and get some closure around his passing. I could immediately feel the energy of Archie’s true essence as a loving and nurturing soul. After assuring my client that he was ok, three words began repeating in my mind: companionship, care, and support. I could tell these words each held great purpose and meaning for Archie in reference to the life we were communicating with him about. My intuition told me there was an important message for this woman that involved these words. This prompted me to ask his owner what her profession was, and I assumed it must have been one that was in some way emotionally demanding like my client from the previous story.  She shared with me that she was a social worker. I shared with her that Archie’s purpose for sharing his most recent life experience with her was to be a companion, to care for her and support her through his presence.  Archie’s owner instantly resonated with this message and thanked me for affirming what she had felt throughout their time together.

Tell me conscious companions, have you uncovered purpose in the presence of your companion?

How has that purpose manifested?

I am thankful to be a part of your life.

                        ~ your companion

I am thankful to be apart of your life was one of my June 2015, weekly sentiments of love and inspiration from the animals we share our lives. Every now and again I elaborate on one of these animal messages for this blog.

Animals are sentient beings meaning they have the ability to feel a range of emotions. The joy and love expressed by your companion when you walk through your front door, or barn door should leave you in do doubt of your companions ability to experience emotions.  One feeling that tops the list feelings conveyed to me during communication sessions with animal companions is gratitude.  Apart from asking me to thank their person for the opportunity to connect and communicate via intuitive animal communication, there are three appreciations that continually top the list of gratitudes expressed by the animals I connect with.

1.)  Appreciation for the love and kindness they receive.

2.)  Appreciation for the being a part of your life. Your animal companion delight in being a part of your family.

3.)  Appreciation for the efforts they see their person making on their behalf. Your animal companion sees, hears and feels you. S/he knows the effort you put in.

Words of love and gratitude appear frequently in my weekly messages from the animals we share our lives with because while you can get to see and feel the love and gratitude of your animal companion in your daily interactions with him or her, it is nice to hear.

Acknowledgment: An Instant Energy Shifter for the Conscious Companion.

Early in my career as an Intuitive Animal Communicator I made acknowledging the experience of the animal a central part of my communication sessions. When I prefaced the messages and information I was sending to an animal with an acknowledgement of his or her current experience, I would instantly whiteness a notable change in the level of receptiveness and responsiveness from the animal.  I could actually feel an opening in the animals chakras particularity the heart, throat and solar plexus chakras. If your not sure  what I mean by that, equate it to feeling like a weight has been lifted off of your shoulders. Moved by these heartfelt interactions sprung from acknowledgment, I began to coach clients in the conscious act of acknowledging their companions experience as a common practice.

Not only does this practice deepen your level of connectivity enriching the relationship you share with your animal companion, it instantly shifts the energy of any interaction by opening a channel for understanding, ease, and empathetic responses to flow between you and your companion. The simplicity of the act of acknowledgment makes it easy for you to do yourself in-the-moment, helping you manage your companions understanding, stress level, anxiety, focus, and workability in a training situation.

To acknowledge your companions experience you must first bring yourself fully into the present moment and become aware of his or her experience.  Engaging your senses including your intuition or sixth sense can help you shift your awareness to the present moment.  Going through a short check list of what your companion is seeing, hearing, feeling, tasting, and even being aware of any impressions or thoughts that are popping into your mind, will help clue you into what your companions current experience is.

Once you are aware of your companions experience its time to send your message of acknowledgment. I tell my clients to verbalize their acknowledgment. In my experience people new to acknowledging their companion in this conscious way feel more confident about their animal receiving the acknowledgment when it is said out loud. I believe this is because spoken words have an intentional and affirming quality about them.

Now that you have instantly shifted the energy of your interaction with your companion by acknowledging to the best of your ability his or her experience, this would be the perfect time to employ in-the-moment-message sending, positive training techniques, or a combination of both. When you follow an instant energy shift with information or positive training techniques, you are giving your animal companion what s/he needs to begin working in collaboration with you co-creating the kind of experience you want to have with him or her.

Acknowledgment Examples:
-I can tell this is one of your favorite things to do.
-I see your feeling anxious.
-I know the vet makes you uncomfortable. (In-the-moment-message-following, if you are paitent and calm this won't take long.)
-I see your effort, thank you.
-I am aware that you are physically not feeling well. (In-the-moment-message-following, Your health and well-being are a priority to me. I am going to do all I can to get you better.)
-You are paying a lot of attention to that other animal. I see s/he is making you anxious. (In-the-moment-message-following, I need you to give me your focus and attention for X amount of time.)

Leave your questions in the comments, I am happy to support you on your journey to a more conscious way of being with your animal friends!
